I have been working on a new commission from Dorset Festival Consortium for the Dorset Moon featuring Luke Jerram’s amazing art work “The Museum of the Moon” . I was chosen along with other artists from the south west to make responses to the work. My piece is written for silent disco headphones, and will be premiered at:
St Peters Church, Bournemouth on the 29th June at 5pm, 7pm and 8pm, Sherborne Abbey 5 – 7th July 9.45pm each night and then at Weymouth Nothe Fort Saturday 13th July at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. The listener can hear conversations with local residents, friends and family who recall their memories of the moon landings, along with contemporary responses on how we see the moon now.
A short preview of the peice can be heard here .
